The Mission

We are here to reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus. 

The Vision

The vision of Word of Life is to create a community of passionate disciples to demonstrate to our cities the life changing reality of the Gospel in action and to continue to be a church for every generation and nation.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. The Bible is the Word of God
  • Inspired by God Himself.  2 Timothy 3:15-17
  • Infallible.  Matthew 5:18; Revelation 22:18-19
  • Authoritative, Revealed, Will of God. Hebrews 4:12; John 7:17
2. There is One True God, Eternally Existent in Three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Mark 12:29; 1 John 5:6-8
3. Jesus Christ is perfect Deity and perfect humanity.

  • His virgin birth.  John 3:16
  • His sinless life. 1 Peter 2:22
  • His miracles. Acts 10:38
  • He was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8
  • His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood. 
     1 Corinthians 15:3,4
  • His bodily resurrection. Ephesians 1:20
  • His ascension to the right hand of the Father. Ephesians 1:20
  • His return for His Church. Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17,  
     1 Corinthians 15:51-53
  • His personal return in power and glory. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
  • His Millennial Reign. Revelation 19:11-16, 20:17
4. The Salvation of Man
  • The shed blood of Jesus Christ, grace through faith, believing in the heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord, will result in man’s salvation. Romans 3:21-30; 10:8-10
  • Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the New Birth. Galatians 4:4-7
5. Water Baptism by immersion is a declaration to the world that a believer has died with Christ and has been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4-11
6. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God promised by Jesus Christ to all believers. Luke 24:49; John 14:16, 17; Acts 2:4
7. Sanctification is a progressive work of grace, beginning at the time of the new birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation.
Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 24; 2Peter 3:18
8. Divine healing is a provision of Christ’s atonement and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:17; 1Peter 2:24
9. The Church is the Body of Christ and each member is an integral part. Ephesians 4:15, 16; Rom 12:4, 5
10. Those who die without Christ are destined for an eternity in the Lake of Fire. Those who have received Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord of their lives are destined to join Him in Heaven. Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20
