Ephesians Series: What are you wearing?

Mar 1, 2026

Another Sunday, another message in Ephesians!

This week, Pastor Chris continues unpacking chapter 4, drawing powerful parallels to the Old Testament priestly garments described in Exodus. He explains how what was once a physical reality under the old covenant now carries a deep spiritual meaning in the new covenant.

Referencing 1 Peter, where the apostle Peter calls believers “priests,” Pastor Chris highlights that just as Old Testament priests were recognized by the garments they wore, we are now to be recognized by the character and conduct we display. Our “attire” is no longer fabric, but faithfulness.

The way we treat our husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, and fellow believers should reflect a distinctly priestlymanner of living. After all, we are described as:

“a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9, NKJV).

As you go into this week, take time to ponder this question from Pastor Chris:

Do you intentionally wash yourself with the Holy Spirit and the Scriptures?
