Unstuck (Part 2)

What does it look like when God calls someone who does not believe they are qualified? In this message drawn from Judges 6, we walk through the story of Gideon, a man hiding in a winepress, convinced he was the least likely candidate for anything significant. Yet God meets him right there in that low place and calls him a mighty warrior before there is a single shred of evidence to support the title. The central spiritual lesson here is both challenging and freeing: God is not waiting for us to feel confident in ourselves. He is calling us to be confident in him. The difference between self-confidence and God-confidence is not a small one. It is the difference between spinning our wheels and actually moving forward.
